Mrs Cheryl Gilbertson,
I became a Foundation Governor at Treales School in October 2018 and relish this opportunity to support such a wonderful school, church and community. I moved into the Parish and began regularly attending Treales Church in 2011, having just got married. Since then I have had two daughters, my eldest is in reception and youngest loves going to Treales’ Explorers.
Having completed my Science degree at the University of Stirling, I realised I wanted to combine my love of Science and working with young people, so I became a Secondary School Science Teacher in 2005. The similarities and differences in the way we develop and what motivates us to learn has always fascinated me and lead me to complete a post graduate degree in Psychology at UCLAN, in 2011. Hopefully the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years, in education myself and as a teacher and pastoral leader, will enable me to understand, support and help promote the holistic development of Treales School and find further opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the bond between the School, Church and the wider community.
